Mesa Public Schools is proud to announce its outstanding performance in the latest A-F Letter Grade report from the Arizona Department of Education. With an overall grade of 'B,' the district continues to deliver on its promise that every student in Mesa Public Schools is known by name, served by strength and need, and graduates ready for college, career and community.

Highlights include:

  • An overall 'B' grade for the district

  • 27 schools achieved an 'A' grade, which is 12 more than the previous year

  • 26 schools earned a 'B' grade

  • 27 schools moved up at least one letter grade

  • 39 schools maintained their letter grade from the previous year

The Arizona Department of Education measures year-to-year student academic growth, proficiency on English language arts, math and science, the proficiency and academic growth of English language learners, indicators that an elementary student is ready for success in high school and that high school students are ready to succeed in a career or higher education and high school graduation rates.
