Mesa Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Matt Strom as the new Associate Superintendent, effective July 1. Dr. Strom is the current Assistant Superintendent of Strategy and Organizational Effectiveness. He brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership. Dr. Strom will replace current associate superintendent Holly Williams, who is retiring after 24 years with the district.

In his new role, Dr. Strom will leverage his diverse background and expertise in various domains including teaching and learning, research and evaluation, business, operations, and systems development to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing student outcomes. His dedication to educational excellence and innovative approach to leadership will further propel MPS toward its promise to know students by name, serve them by strength and need so they graduate ready for college, career and community. 

Dr. Strom has over 26 years in education and has held various leadership positions in school districts across the Valley. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, his Master’s in Education and EdD in Education Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
